A bit About Myself
Dr. Christos Valiotis is an accomplished physics professor, STEM education leader, and strategic consultant with over 25 years of experience driving innovation in higher education. Currently serving as Dean of the Mathematics, Sciences, and Engineering Division at Antelope Valley College in California, he has led a wide range of transformative initiatives to enhance student outcomes, curriculum design, and institutional capacity.
Holding degrees in Physics, Philosophy of Science, and doctoral-level training in Educational Leadership, Dr. Valiotis has served as Principal Investigator and evaluator on numerous national projects focused on STEM equity, data science, and inquiry-based learning. His efforts have created seamless pathways between colleges and universities, robust teacher training programs, and student-centered models like Summer Academies and First-Year Experience programs.
Beyond administration, he contributes actively to national educational policy and grant evaluation, collaborating with institutions across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Known for his deep commitment to educational equity and innovation, Dr. Valiotis blends scientific rigor with inclusive leadership to build systems that empower underserved communities and future-proof STEM education.
